In 1973, experienced tradesman Gerhard Rosenberg discovers that polypropylene is an ideal material for in-floor radiant heating tubing. He begins manufacturing the polypropylene pipe, known as Aquatherm, in his garage in Attendorn, Germany. From these humble beginnings, a global plastic pipe manufacturing company is born.

Aquatherm continues to set the bar for plastic pipe manufacturers. Aquatherm PP-R pipes don’t rust or corrode like metal, so they help building owners, contractors, designers and facility managers stay competitive and offer a superior piping system. And behind those piping systems, there are 600+ men and women ready to do whatever it takes to support Aquatherm customers.

Aquatherm Blue

A superior alternative to steel, stainless steel and inferior plastics, Aquatherm Blue Pipe is a long-lasting option for heating and cooling, compressed air and industrial piping systems.

Unlike metals and plastic imitations, original Aquatherm Blue Pipe won’t corrode or weaken over time. That’s because Aquatherm PP-R and PP-RP (RCT) piping systems are made from the highest-quality polypropylene for longevity that lasts for decades.
This technology blends glass fibers with PP-R and PP-RP (RCT) to minimize the linear thermal expansion that typically occurs when plastic pipes are exposed to heat.

Since Aquatherm Blue Pipe is installed using heat fusion, there’s no glue, solder or gasket on the connection. The two pieces of polypropylene pipe are fused together into one, creating a permanent, leak-free connection.

Aquatherm Green

Manufactured without heavy metals and toxic chemicals, Aquatherm Green Pipe is the safest option for potable water systems, including food/beverage processing and domestic water piping systems.

Many piping materials, like copper and inferior plastics, allow trace amounts of chemicals to leach from the pipe walls and into the water it carries. Not Aquatherm Green Pipe.

Made from polypropylene, Aquatherm Green Pipe doesn’t react with water. This prevents leaching, corrosion, scaling and erosion—major causes of water contamination and long-term piping failure.

Aquatherm Green Pipe is also installed using heat fusion. Since there’s no glue, solder or gasket on the connection, the potable water system remains free of hazardous chemicals. Plus, the distinct color of Aquatherm Green Pipe blocks sunlight from passing through the pipe wall and promoting biofilm formation.
