In Memoriam: Doug McLean
It is with sadness that we share with you the passing of Doug McLean, past member of MCABC and long-time member of the industry. Doug was a loyal and dedicated employee with Crane Supply and Crane Canada for 47 years and a proud member and contributor with the Mechanical Contractors Associations. His career started in Victoria with moves to Nanaimo, Kelowna, back to Victoria, then Kingston, Ottawa and finally Vancouver where, after building his own manufacturers agency and working with Equipco, he retired in 2003. A 32nd Degree Mason, Doug was a humble yet proud man with a genuine love for people. Survived by his beautiful bride and wife Ferne of 64 years; children Sue (Jason) of Shawnigan Lake, BC and Doug Jr. (Patty) of Mississauga, ON; beloved grandchildren Kirk, Griffin, Bailey and Lizzie.
A celebration of life will be held on June 5, from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm at Capilano Golf and Country Club (420 Southborough Drive, West Vancouver, BC). In lieu of flowers, a donation to the MS Society of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
